The Essential Female STI Screen 2 is the minimum STI screen that should be done for women as in the latest guidelines by the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV.
There is no need for an appointment to do the Essential Female STI Screen 2. After paying for the test online, you will receive a confirmation message with a map and directions attached. You can then go to Patient Reception at The Doctors Laboratory to give the sample. The laboratory is open 7am – 7pm weekdays and 7am-1pm on Saturdays.

A vaginal swab is a better test for gonorrhoea especially if you have an abnormal vaginal discharge. However, gonorrhoea can also be diagnosed with a urine test. Click here if you would like to do the blood/urine test combination for this test.
